Following each speaker’s presentation, participants are mentored through practicum exercises. These small group exercises facilitate a fruitful assimilation of the living principles evident within the presented content. The practicum exercises are not role plays or small group discussions. The practicum exercises are a form of peer supervision. These exercises serve to foster ongoing human, spiritual, and pastoral formation. They engender tasting and seeing the presence of the Holy Spirit in the interior life of grace.

Main Points:
“[Formation] should be such as to help the seminarian to acquire the inner freedom to live the apostolate as service, able to see the work of God in the hearts and lives of the people. Seen in this way, when he is an ordained minister, pastoral activity will take on the form of an ongoing school of evangelization” - Ratio Fundamentalis 119
We offer virtual participation for international participants who can not travel to Florida for Modules 3,4,7, and 8. However, residency participation in the Summer Modules (1,2,5,6) is required to complete this 2-year Certificate program.
This “Virtual participation” also requires that there be a small group gathering with other seminary formators at your local seminary or in a designated regional location. This small group gathering will ensure that the major benefits of the "informal curriculum" are enjoyed.
Informal curriculum: Daily Liturgy, Liturgy of the Hours, private prayer, meals, and evening socials. It is our experience that this informal curriculum is a major factor in promoting the integration of the content being presented in the module.
We highly encourage attending the full program so priority is given to applicants that register for all modules. If you apply for only select modules, we would be happy to accommodate you based on the remaining openings.
As long as you know that the content is tailored towards diocesan formation (with much cross-over) we are more than happy to welcome religious formators. We have had numerous religious formators attend and benefit greatly. Please scroll through our testimonials page to hear about the experience of some religious formators.
